REDEMPTION FEES AND TICKET SYSTEM

Upon redemption of an impounded animal, the owner shall pay applicable charges of $35.00, with an additional charge of $10.00 per day starting the day after impoundment. There is an additional spay/neuter incentive fee of $25.00 for any dog or cat that is not spayed or neutered.

If the owner cannot show proof of a valid rabies vaccination, a $9.00 fee will be charged and a voucher issued for that vaccination at area veterinary clinics. If an animal is picked up after hours, there will be an additional $40.00 fee to defray overtime costs. If the animal is not claimed by its owner within a seven-day period, the animal will be euthanized or placed for adoption depending on its health and well-being.

Free Ride Home! Put a collar and tag with your current contact information on your pet and they could be returned to your home free if someone is there to receive the dog, or if you pick the dog up at the shelter the same day by 5 pm. Rabies vaccination must be current or there is a $9 fee for a voucher to get the shot. Save your pet and some money at the same time!
