Economic and Community Development
The City of Decatur’s Economic and Community Development Department works to attract investment, support responsible growth, strengthen neighborhoods, and improve quality of life throughout the city.
Director of Development Dane Shaw coordinates the City’s efforts with businesses, developers, investors, property owners, community organizations, and local, county, and state partners. These partnerships help create jobs, encourage redevelopment, strengthen the heart of the city, and position Decatur as a destination for residents, visitors, and businesses.
