Upon redemption of an impounded animal, the owner shall pay charges of $35.00 if that animal has been in shelter custody on any prior occasion. There shall also be an additional charge of $10.00 per day starting after the initial day of intake. There is an additional spay/neuter incentive fee of $25.00 for any dog or cat that is not spayed or neutered.
If the owner cannot show proof of a valid rabies vaccination, a $9.00 fee will be charged and a voucher issued for that vaccination at area veterinary clinics. If an animal is picked up after hours, there will be an additional $40.00 fee to defray overtime costs. If the animal is not claimed by its owner within a seven-day period, the animal will be placed for adoption, placed for rescue, or potentially euthanized if temperament and/or health and well-being is severely negative.
