The City of Decatur's Geographic Information System (GIS) is a function of the Information Systems Department that provides mapping and spatial data services that support City operations and enhance public access to information.

GIS manages and analyzes location-based data, transforming it into interactive maps, applications, and visualizations that help City staff make informed decisions about planning, public safety, infrastructure, engineering, economic development, and many other municipal services.
